Job Responsibilities: Underwriting Function To perform underwriting function which includes risk analysis, develop terms and conditions, placement of reinsurance/coinsurance and make underwriting decision, within given authority. Ensure that risk is properly underwritten in accordance with the guidelines, rules, and regulations. To conduct renewal review exercise 3 months prior to renewal date, ensuring risk is within company's appetite and written at the adequate term. To support Line of Business Head in achieving department objective. Assist Line of Business Head to formulate and execute strategies to grow target business. Administration, Supervision and Control Work closely with PSC department ensuring efficient and top-notch delivery of service in terms of policy and minimization of policy issuance error. To monitor and keep track of all renewal policies that are being reviewed. To attend promptly on request raised by business units. Other job scopes Undertake other responsibilities, ad-hoc function or projects as and when required by the Head of Department. Job Requirements: Candidate must possess a recognized Bachelor's Degree in a field such as Actuarial, Finance or Business Administration. Preferably candidate with professional insurance qualification, e.g. ACII, AMII or equivalent insurance qualification. Minimum 8 years of underwriting experience preferably in property line of business - Fire and Misc. businesses. Good technical insurance skills. Good analytical and communication skills.
