- Minimum of 1 year of experience in basic food preparation within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia to effectively communicate with team members and understand instructions.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment.
- Knowledge of and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards to ensure the quality and safety of all food products.
- Ability to perform tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling dishes according to established recipes and procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the demands of the business.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits.
- Cook and assemble menu items according to standardized recipes and portion sizes, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, including sanitizing equipment and surfaces regularly.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as ovens, grills, fryers, and blenders.
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper storage to prevent spoilage and maintain food safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing deliveries, and notifying supervisors of low stock levels.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation and service.
