The accountant will play a crucial role in the financial operations of our organization, focusing on tasks related to billing to collection, journal entries, balance sheet reviews, and general accounting functions. This role will ensure the accurate and timely delivery of financial reporting, support effective management reporting, and departmental reporting. Additionally, the Accountant will assist in statutory audits and compliance with accounting and tax regulations.Duties & ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL¿ Oversee the end-to-end billing to collection process, ensuring both the accuracy and promptness of invoicing and collections. This entails coordinating effectively between commercial teams, project managers, and the billing team to streamline operations and optimize efficiency.¿ Review and analyze journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and policies.¿ Conduct regular reviews of balance sheets, identifying and rectifying discrepancies or errors.¿ Execute daily accounting operations encompassing a wide range of tasks, with a focus on maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger.¿ Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.¿ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely departmental reporting.¿ Assist in the coordination and completion of statutory audits, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations.¿ Handle ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the department, providing support and expertise as needed.NON-ESSENTIAL¿ Other duties as assigned inclusive of responsibilities outlined in the RASCI model related to your area of work.¿ Travel to sites to understand the work being done as needed.Supervisory Responsibilities¿ This position operates within a team environment and does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.Reporting Relationship¿ This position will report to the Senior Accountant within the APAC Finance and Accounting team.QualificationsQualificationsREQUIRED¿ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.¿ Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a shared services or regional role.¿ Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and standards, including GAAP, IFRS,DESIRED¿ Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting firm or similar setting, with a concentration on audit, and assurance services.¿ Experience in shared services accounting or regional accounting operations.¿ Experience with PSFT ERP systems and financial reporting tools.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics¿ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills¿ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting¿ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.¿ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Closing StatementWorking ConditionsThis position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows:¿ Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night¿ Work surface is stable (flat)Physical Activity/RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
