Then read on.About the RoleResponsible for timely completion of accounting and reporting for General Insurance business within the statutory requirements and guidelines.Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and ensure timely completion of monthly/quarterly/yearly financial and management reports of General Insurance business
  • Responsible for accurate and timely submission of local statutory returns to BNM, IFRS templates to Group Office and other regulatory reporting requirements, including audited financial statements.
  • Perform variance analysis of the financial results and prepare management analysis pertaining to reporting to local management, Group Office and statutory bodies.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliation of accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to improve processes and collaborate across departments to ensure that initiatives are incorporated with sound financial controls whilst meeting business requirements.
  • Address issues and queries related to GL posting which includes updating system mapping from Policy Administrative System to SAP Chart of Account (“COA”).
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • A recognized Degree in Accounting or Professional Accountancy Qualification, with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Excel and SAP are added advantage.
  • Able to work under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Analytical and good problem solving skills.
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A good teammate who is keen to learn.
