- Lead and manage a team comprising 4-5 order processing staff and 1 procurement officer, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide mentorship, conduct performance evaluations, and support team development and succession planning.
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain functions, including demand forecasting, planning, procurement, inventory control, and order fulfilment.
- Ensure accurate order processing, timely deliveries, and consistent achievement of service level targets.
- Manage procurement operations, vendor relationships, and supplier performance in alignment with internal policies and standards.
- Negotiate contracts, assess supplier risks, and ensure compliance with procurement regulations.
- Supervise third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure cost-effective, timely, and high-quality logistics and distribution services.
- Track and analyze key logistics performance indicators, lead periodic reviews, and resolve delivery issues proactively.
- Optimize inventory levels to maintain a balance between service requirements and working capital efficiency.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation plans to manage supply chain disruptions and logistical challenges.
- Drive process improvements and adopt automation initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with applicable medical device regulations, corporate governance standards, and regional requirements.
- Generate and present supply chain performance reports, KPIs, and dashboards to senior leadership and regional stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Sales, Service, Finance, and Regulatory Affairs to align supply chain activities with broader business objectives.
- A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Solid expertise in demand planning, inventory control, and forecasting.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) systems.
- Well-versed in ISO 9001, GDPMD standards, and local regulatory requirements, including Malaysian customs procedures.
- Prior experience in the medical device or in vitro diagnostics (IVD) industry, particularly managing products with limited shelf life such as reagents and quality control materials.
