We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Group Credit Risk department under Group Risk Management division as a Vice President, Credit Risk Policy. The Role A successful candidate in this position, being the Subject Matter Expert for Small Medium Enterprise (SME), Commercial and Corporate Banking, will be accountable for aligning risk controls to strategic areas of growth through design of risk methodologies, implementation of risk frameworks and risk control solutions . Job Description Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the SME, Commercial and Corporate Banking portfolios that adds an added dimension to ideation and discussions with the business. Lead initiatives and identification of new key risk areas and risk mitigation involving SME, Commercial and Corporate Banking portfolios. Proactive involvement in analyzing and identification of gaps in existing SME, Commercial and Corporate Banking risk policies & procedures for timely risk mitigation action plans. Provide value added recommendations through periodic review of core credit policies specific to SME, Commercial and Corporate Banking portfolios. Formulate and formalize policies addressing new key risks to support growth of SME, Commercial and Corporate Banking portfolios in a risk conscious culture. Oversee formulation and development of appropriate products and related policies to ensure the Lines of Business (LOB) are aware of the risk involved and propose to business on appropriate risk mitigations. Evaluate SME, Commercial and Corporate Banking product proposals and provide independent risk assessment for sign off. Collaborate on business related activities to monitor adherence to the Group's approved policies / risk limits and regulatory requirements to ensure all activities are being controlled within the limits approved. Monitor progress of risk-related deliverables to ensure closure, manage risk, ensure appropriate escalation for "at-risk" action plans to evaluate solutions and verify that key stakeholders are kept informed about the progress and expected outcomes of various business engagements. Lead/introduce innovative approaches, tools and practical risk controls by employing relevant data analytics tools. Analyse various related reports to support management in decision making. Represent Group Risk at meetings and forums related to the area of expertise which will include both internal and external audience. Prepare input/participate in business strategy/project meetings. Enhance the methodology and approach to Risk Management for the management of the designated portfolio. Execute projects/initiatives assigned by GCRO to improve internal processes. Job Requirements Skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills with aptitude for logic. Effective communication skills, both written and oral. Excellent interpersonal skills. Resourceful and adaptable in a changing environment Knowledge Strong knowledge of SME, Commercial and Corporate business products/operations. Strong knowledge of credit risk management approaches/techniques. Knowledge of credit underwriting approaches/techniques. Sound knowledge of relevant regulations governing SME, Commercial, Corporate business and risk management. Awareness of best practices and market trends. Experience Tertiary Graduate or Qualified Professional with at least 8 years of experience with exposure to credit risk management and regulatory policy requirements. Experience in Moody&aposs and S&P credit ratings will be advantageous. At least 5 years work experience with Internal Audit (credit related). At least 8 years work experience in Credit Risk Rating (Preferably Moody&aposs and/or S&P). This position is open to Malaysian citizens only. Show more Show less
