Job Purpose Assist the head to develop, lead and manage the profitability and growth of AHIB&aposs SMF, as key products and services of AHIB&aposs Retail Stockbroking Business in order to achieve the long and short-term business objectives. Key Responsibilities Business Management, Execution and Performance Implement/ execute the strategic plans to ensure business of SMF delivers its annual and long-term financial and non-financial targets, and contributes in growing AHIB&aposs retail market share; Work with marketing team on sales and marketing strategies, marketing collaterals, advertising materials, marketing campaigns, roadshows and other promotional activities; Conduct product briefings and trainings for the sales personnel and clients (such as business presentations, client events, marketing roadshows etc.); Work across the business and operations and actively interact with the business heads of distribution, Securities Operations as well as existing and potential clients; to build and maintain strategic key relationships, and managing, driving, and growing a substantial pipeline of business activities and network for AHIB. Perform credit screenings for new application and increase facility limit and annual review. To reach out to the respective teams/ owners to perform the credit screenings ie SCEL, market surveillance, connected party, credit exposure etc. Regulatory Compliance and Adherence Facilitate compliance with AHIB&aposs risk management framework for SMF together with the Head of Credit Management and Chief Risk Officer, as well as closely monitoring of the exposures and risks associated with the products while ensuring the business profitability and sustainability (such as keeping track of loan impairments, high risk clients and collaterals, managing possible losses etc.; Review and provide recommendation to update the risk management framework periodically / as and when required to balance the growth of business and risk exposure; Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, AHIB's policies and procedures. Skills/Requirements At least with a 5 or more years of stockbroking experience at an established financial institution (exception may be considered based on credentials) Proven track record of meeting progressive performance targets Sound understanding of regulations, and deep industry and market knowledge with a proven record of translating this into effective business strategies to grow the business Extensive business network and well regarded in the financial services community Leadership skills in building a high-performing organisation and collaborative culture Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with different levels of stakeholders and employees Sound cultural sensitivity to manage relationships with people from diverse cultures Show more Show less
