The Wafer Sort Equipment Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This position is based in Penang and focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving critical machinery in the industrial/manufacturing sector.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on wafer sort equipment, including TEL Prexa/Precio XL probers and Advantest V93k testers.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, and software issues to minimise equipment downtime and maintain production schedules.
Monitor equipment performance and implement optimisations to improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Collaborate with process, test, and manufacturing teams to address yield issues and drive continuous improvement projects.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance data, and spare parts inventory.
Assist in the installation, qualification, and acceptance of new wafer sort equipment.
Develop and update maintenance procedures and best practices to ensure safe and effective equipment operation.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
Proven experience working with wafer sort equipment, specifically with probers (TEL Prexa/Precio XL) and testers (Advantest V93k).
Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across different departments.
Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools.
Knowledge of robotics and automation systems used in semiconductor manufacturing.
A proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and safety standards.
Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
