Job Role: ETL Tester. Responsibilities: Reviews and validates requirements and technical specifications Develops and executes test plans, test queries and detailed test cases based on requirements and/or customer feedback and prioritization Documents results; offer observations or improvements after analysis of test results and overall product quality Collaborates with the development team on bug fix verification and validation (regression testing) Communicates professionally at all levels within and outside of the organization Supports, designs, develops, and enhances test processes and reporting for QA ETL processes Manages testing efforts across many varied projects and tasks under tight deadlines Mentors and provides training assistance to Associate ETL Engineers Must Have: At least 4+ yrs. quality assurance with exposure/experience in Agile Development environments for DWH/ETL Projects. Experience with Query Surge automated testing tools or equivalent automation skills. Can write ETL Testing scripts (using SQL/Python) Have deep knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts, ETL Process and cloud systems. Has strong testing experience with snowflake and on prem Hadoop and Teradata Hands on experience of different DBs like, MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 etc. 2-3 yrs. Of Domain Knowledge for Banking Projects. Identifies, communicates, and escalates issues as required A team player and self-starter who will work side by side with the development team Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Thorough working knowledge of software testing methodologies and the testing life cycle Good to have: Experience of 4-5 Yrs. with Data Migration testing projects for Cloud or on- premise databases.
