Plant and Machinery Manager

• Manage the selection, acquisition, and leasing of construction equipment and machinery.

• Establish and enforce a preventive maintenance schedule to ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently.

• Lead and oversee a team of equipment operators and maintenance staff.

• Deliver training and continuous support to ensure proper equipment usage and adherence to safety guidelines.

• Administer the budget for plant and machinery operations, ensuring efficient use of financial resources.

• Track equipment usage and operational expenses, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvement.

• Ensure all machinery operations comply with relevant safety laws and industry regulations.

• Perform regular safety inspections and risk assessments, addressing any issues through corrective measures.

• Maintain up-to-date inventory records of all machinery and equipment, including usage logs and service history.

• Manage the decommissioning and disposal of obsolete or non-functional equipment.

• Coordinate closely with project managers to determine machinery requirements for upcoming construction activities.

• Work with other departments to ensure timely allocation and availability of equipment for operational needs.

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred.

• At least 6 years of hands-on experience in managing plant and machinery within the construction sector.

• Demonstrated expertise in equipment procurement, maintenance operations, and inventory/store management.
