- Manage client related reporting, weekly, monthly quarterly
- Manage to clients SLA and KPI performance requirements
- Provide direction and leadership of the site operations teams, including effective hiring, motivation, development, training and discipline of the site operation and maintenance organization.
- Monitor workload / resources against KPI and budget constraints whilst ensuring up-time.
- Initiate and manage site reviews, including maintenance standards, equipment replacement, security, change control, single points of failure, Tier adherence and operational risk.
- Ensure delivery of planned and reactive activities, utilizing the CMMS platform within financial operating targets.
- To perform additional tasks as required by the Senior Data Centre Manager.
- Provides advice and consultation to operate the client’s facilities with regard to facilities engineering matters.
- Overall responsibility for all site repair and maintenance carried out by subcontractors to ensure work completion, quality and method of working for compliance with specification and ordinance requirements.
- Monitor, measure and report upon the performance of all specialist contractors in terms of their ability to carry out the work against the agreed contractual budget.
- Co-ordinate meetings periodically with contractors, specialist vendors and suppliers to ensure that required standards are established and maintained, and develop corrective action plans when, or if performance falls below expectations.
- Ensure that maintenance documentation meets the required standards and sufficient information is provided to operate an effective asset management regiment.
- Assist/support the client with statutory compliance requirements/certifications for the site.
- Ensure asset information is maintained and changes updated within the CMMS.
- Ensure site operations, including incident management and escalation in accordance with approved Client/JLL procedures
- Responsible in managing both hard service and soft service operation. To ensure all agreed procedures ad standards are implemented.
- Proactively engage stakeholders to ensure that on site Client’s expectations are met.
- Recommend continuous management initiatives and energy management plan. Actively search-out opportunities to achieve better or best results and increase the energy efficiency (PUE – Power Utilization Efficiencies).
- Tertiary qualifications in a mechanical, electrical or operational engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineering certification in either Electrical or Mechanical systems
- Data Centre certification, CDCP or equivalent
- 7 - 10 years of relevant experience in engineering operations services.
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in the operation of electrical and mechanical services in Tier III or equivalent data centre or critical facility.
- Excellent people skills and ability to interact with a wide range of client and vendor staff.
- Critical environment experience within similar sized site or operation.
- Experienced with continuous improvement initiatives, client relationship and preparation of reports.
