Programme Overview The Financial Sector Enrichment Programme (FSTEP) is a 3 + 9-month intensive graduate training programme, in collaboration with Asian Banking School (ABS), designed to equip talent with the right skills and knowledge for their transition into the financial services industry. UOB Malaysia is committed to recruiting and developing a team of trainees who will be coached to excel within the bank. Job Responsibilities: Compliance & Audit Management Providing 1st level of advisory for matters related to regulations issued by the regulators; Coordinates business and functional stakeholders' responses to regulatory consultative papers; Coordinates cross segment regulatory projects; Main focal point of contact between Corporate Banking (CBK) and internal/external auditors/regulators/compliance/market risk on regulatory/operational/legal matters; Conducting preliminary investigation on potential misconduct and main gatekeeper for the disciplinary records of CBK; Ensure adequate controls are in place to comply with regulatory requirements; Provide trainings to CBK staff on regulatory requirements/Banks' policies and procedures; Drive any compliance project and initiative; Attend to request/ compilation of data request from CBK / Group CBK Business Management on adhoc basis 2.Business Operational Risk Control Perform control testing via the annual KRCSA exercise; Main gatekeeper for Key Operational Risk Indicator (KORI); To ensure alignment with Group in terms of Operational Risk controls and to localize where necessary; To perform Incident Reporting, gap analysis and introducing new controls to avoid future recurrence. To perform internal self-assessment and review for CBK 3.Others Data compilation and analysis to support regulatory reviews and reporting. Preparation of presentation decks for internal forums and management reviews What we look for in a UOB FSTEP Trainee: Malaysian nationality. Minimum of Bachelor&aposs degree in any field. Fresh graduates or candidates with less than three (3) years of working experience. Fluent in English with good communication skills, adaptable, dedicated, committed, and independent. Committed to complete the programme.
