We Are Hiring: We are in the lookout for dynamic individuals to join our team as Medical Officer . In this role, you will be a key contributor in the areas as follows: Review and assess complex medical cases from underwriting and claims, providing evidence-based recommendations. Advise on medical trends and their implications for product features, including participation in pricing and benefit design discussions. Lead or contribute to medical research initiatives, including publication of findings and participation in industry forums. Monitor medical developments and provide strategic insights to support business risk management and readiness. Provide medical training or updates to internal teams and clients and participate in client discussions as needed. Represent MLRe at industry events and contribute to publications or webinars to reinforce the company's thought leadership. Provide backup and support during team absences to ensure consistent delivery of medical services and business continuity. Participate in cross-functional and ad-hoc projects requiring medical expertise to support company-wide initiatives. Your application will stand out if you have: Medical degree with full registration under the Malaysian Medical Council. 5+ years of clinical experience; preferably with exposure to insurance or reinsurance. Proficient in interpreting complex medical reports (e.g., ECG, imaging, lab results). Sound understanding of insurance medicine, underwriting, and claims assessment. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Effective decision-making and problem-solving ability. Clear and concise communication and presentation skills.
