Responsibilities Responsible for recruiting new specialists/consultants to join as visiting/full-time/admitting rights to utilise Beacon Hospital facilities. Manage consultants and ensure projected revenue for the speciality is met with a reasonable profit margin. Adhere to all quality standards and processes for the recruitment & retention of consultants/specialists. To organise, host and coordinate all meetings that fall within the jurisdiction of the medical affairs department, be it virtual, hybrid or face-to-face. Collaborate closely with the Medical Affairs Manager to manage specialists/consultants' expectations and monitor revenue activity. Must assist the medical affairs team with all day-to-day tasks. Assist the Manager of Medical Affairs in conducting reviews of the specialist privileging matters and process. Overseeing on-call duty schedule, leave forms and coverage for on-call if needed. Assist the Medical Affairs Manager in extending communication on the development of the clinical SOPs. Liaise with any specialists and are responsible for following through with the specialists/consultants on their needs at Beacon Hospital and any satellite centres for the BH group of hospitals/centres. Assume any other responsibilities allocated by the Medical Affairs Department Manager, which include providing guidance and support to Medical Affairs, Officer and/or Executive. To develop and manage department records, which include updating files, maintaining the database, and maintaining the confidentiality of private and confidential data of the specialists/consultants. Investigate complaints against consultants and cases of negligence and address all patient-related issues/complaints about the consultant. Work closely with the Medical Affairs Manager on consultant engagements and provide relevant departments with comments/suggestions on potential improvements. Collaborate with the Medical Affairs Department Manager and Director of Medical Affairs to create, execute, and oversee consultant-related policies and protocols. Develop effective working relationships with doctors through regular meetings and identify and obtain further sales/business opportunities. To be market sensitive and constantly gather market intelligence. Prepare and provide Ad-hoc reporting and analysis metrics and reporting Assume the role of acting superior in the absence of the Medical Affairs Department Manager & Assistant Medical Affairs. Familiarity with MMC regulations and the Private Health Care Act is required, especially when it comes to consultants/medical practitioners. Capable of using critical thinking to resolve problems. Notify the Medical Affairs Department Manager of any issues or concerns related to the department to achieve a solution. Must possess strong time management abilities to complete assignments on schedule. Must maintain a professional attitude when interacting with specialists/consultants and interdepartmental personnel, and colleagues. Requires a strong leadership mindset and the ability to make decisive leadership judgments Provide support and guidance to the satellite centres for the BH group of hospitals/centres Must be willing to travel within Klang Valley and outstation with own transport . Qualifications Diploma/Degree Holder in Business, Science, Nursing or any relevant studies.
