Job Summary: We are partnering with a prestigious consultancy to appoint a Director - HR Business Partnering & Operations , overseeing end-to-end HR functions for the corporate business support teams across six Southeast Asian offices. This strategic role will partner closely with senior regional leadership and functional heads to shape the people agenda, manage workforce planning, and ensure HR operational excellence across the region. You'll lead key initiatives spanning talent strategy, employee engagement, policy governance, ER frameworks, and change management, while overseeing a team of HR professionals and cross-border operations. Key Responsibilities: Strategic HR Business Partnering Lead the people strategy for business support functions, aligning HR plans with wider business growth and talent needs. Oversee talent acquisition, succession planning, and performance management frameworks across the region. Enhance employee engagement and retention through data-driven insights and tailored initiatives. Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on people matters, workforce structures, and organizational effectiveness. Partner on strategic budgeting, headcount planning, and leadership pipeline development. HR Operations & Governance Drive continuous refinement and alignment of HR policies and SOPs across regional offices, ensuring full legal compliance and internal consistency. Oversee all employee lifecycle processes from onboarding to offboarding, with a focus on systems optimization and service excellence. Monitor employment regulations across multiple SEA markets and ensure HR practices remain fully compliant. Lead contingent workforce oversight, including approvals, vendor governance, and exit processes. Employee Relations & Culture Provide strategic oversight of employee relations frameworks, with emphasis on consistency, fairness, and adherence to the firm's values. Lead investigations and consequence management processes in partnership with legal and leadership teams. Shape initiatives that strengthen workplace culture, communication, and psychological safety Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related discipline. Minimum 12 years' HR experience, with strong exposure to both strategic HR leadership and regional operations within multinational or matrix environments. Demonstrated success in workforce planning, talent and performance management, ER, and HR policy governance. Strong understanding of Southeast Asian employment laws and cultural nuances. Track record of partnering with senior leaders across functions and geographies. Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship management skills. Highly organised, emotionally intelligent, and pragmatic in approach.
