Education and Experience: Degree: A Bachelor&aposs degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is generally required. Experience: 3+ years of experience in sales and marketing, with at least 1 year in a specific industry or role ( Software Company ) is often sought. Industry Experience: Experience in the tech industry is often preferred for roles focused on Sofware&aposs . Specific Skills: Sales and Marketing: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, developing and executing sales strategies, and building a strong sales pipeline. Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business principles, market trends, and competitive landscapes. Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and potentially other languages like Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills to close deals and secure partnerships. Presentation: Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations to various audiences. Analytical: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Self-Motivation: A proactive, goal-oriented, and self-driven attitude. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs. Project Management: Ability to manage projects, track progress, and ensure timely completion. Additional Desirable Skills and Experience: Mandarin Proficiency: For roles targeting the Mandarin-speaking market. Digital Marketing Knowledge: Familiarity with SEO/SEM, PPC, web development, and content strategy. CRM Experience: Knowledge and experience with CRM systems. Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and mentor junior team members. Networking: Strong networking skills to build connections and generate leads. Industry Certifications: Certain certifications (e.g., Certified Financial Planner (CFP)) may be advantageous. In addition to these requirements, a senior business developer in Malaysia will likely be responsible for: Developing and implementing business development strategies.
