: General job scope: Aim for zero Tier 1 and Tier 2 Process Safety Events and prevent major facility incidents affecting People, Asset, Environment and Reputation. Drive process safety stewardship and ensure compliance with all applicable safety laws, regulations, and industry & company standards. Establish and maintain the company's process safety management, fire safety and emergency response system and procedures. Conduct reporting and analysis to continuously identify and address process safety risks and loss prevention improvement opportunities in the facility. Improve employees' and contractors' process safety, fire safety and emergency response competence and awareness. Coordinate and conduct investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and corrective actions that will prevent recurrence. Support programmes to inculcate generative safety culture. Job Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive process safety framework, work processes, procedures, and programmes to identify, assess, and control hazards associated with our operations. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for process safety, monitor performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Lead, facilitate and/or participate in process safety risk studies/reviews such as PHA/HAZOPs, LOPA/SIS classification, FMEAs, and What-If analyses to identify and mitigate process risks. Facilitate and/or conduct thorough risk assessments, hazard analyses, and process safety reviews to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Assure safety of abnormal, non-routine and high-risk operations, including managing early warning signs of process safety related threats. Develop and maintain effective emergency response plans including management of related fire safety equipment and procedures, ensuring the organization is prepared to respond to process-related incidents. Monitor implementation of drills periodically. Stay abreast of relevant process safety regulations and standards, ensuring the organization's compliance and facilitating necessary adjustments. Lead, facilitate and/or participate in investigations of process-related incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Design and deliver process safety training programmes for employees at all levels, promoting awareness and understanding of process safety principles. Responsible for supporting incident reporting & investigations and handling of process safety related accidents. Lead and/or participate in process safety and emergency response related inspection and acceptance of projects, including assuring the implementation of Pre-Start-up Safety Review (PSSR) and other related process safety management element. Oversee the MOC process to ensure that changes to processes, equipment, or procedures are assessed for potential impacts on process safety. Foster close collaboration within the workforce to achieve process safety objectives and targets. Complete other temporary tasks assigned by leaders in a timely manner. : Job Requirements: Possess a minimum of bachelor's degree holder in Chemical Engineering, or related Engineering/Science field or equivalent. More than 12 years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in safety management positions, preferably in crude/palm oil refinery or chemical manufacturing industry. Working knowledge of relevant crude/palm oil refining or chemical manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies. Experience in hydro-processing or bio-processing pre-treatment related units is desirable. Proficient in relevant standards and regulations with proven track record in managing process safety risks in crude/palm oil refining or chemical manufacturing facility. Familiar with process safety related software and tools.
