Ensure the Investment Compliance function is running properly and fulfilling the responsibilities of Eastspring's first line of defence in complying with regulations and standards. Supervise, guide and assess subordinates to ensure quality and timely deliverables and that they meet their key performance indicators. Investment Compliance - Assist business owners to identify, and monitor investment limits and restrictions (imposed by regulations and/or clients) Develop, maintain and administer the implementation of relevant global, regional and local policies, manuals and procedures to: Ensure compliance within the Company with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and the Prudential Group standards and requirements; and Detect and prevent non-compliances against all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and Group standards and requirements. Reporting - provide timely reports/reporting and escalation of exceptions on investment limits and restrictions and deal with audit/quality assurance/inspection queries/issues relating to Investment Compliance function and regulatory compliance matters. Meet reporting obligations, including reporting on regulatory compliance matters, regulatory compliance risk and regulatory change, to the Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer, Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Risk Management Committee, Investment Committee, Shariah Advisers, Head Office Compliance, Group Compliance, regulators, clients, etc. Assist to administer systems and review reports to ensure that the investment portfolios are managed in accordance with regulatory and mandate requirements, including investment restrictions. Act as a liaison person with the shariah advisers, investment committee, internal and external auditors including handling of ad hoc surveys, enquiries, request for information, audit visits and regulatory submissions etc in a timely and accurate manner. To be a member of various project committees as required by the Company and regional management, where applicable. To assume any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Fund Operations. Qualifications EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS Undergraduate Degree in Accountancy, Business Economics, Finance, Law or other business-related qualifications may be considered if they have strong relevant experience. Additional qualification in risk management, compliance, investment management or audit, will be an added advantage. Experience With minimum 4 years' experience in risk management, legal, compliance and/or audit role in organizations. Preferably with background in financial services, insurance, banking, finance, asset management organization or audit firms. Exposure in multinational companies in the areas of compliance and corporate governance would be an added advantage. Preference will be given to candidates who have passed the necessary examinations for a Compliance Officer as imposed by the Securities Commission Malaysia and have had regular dealings with the regulators.
