Recovery Officer Why Join As a Recovery Officer at OCBC, you&aposll play a vital role in helping our customers manage their debt and get back on track. You&aposll work closely with them to understand their financial situation and develop personalized plans to help them overcome their challenges. It&aposs a rewarding role that requires empathy, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping others. How you succeed To succeed in this role, you&aposll need to take a customer-centric approach, understanding the unique needs and circumstances of each customer. You&aposll work closely with them to identify solutions, negotiate payment plans, and provide ongoing support to help them achieve financial stability. Your goal is to find mutually beneficial solutions that meet the customer&aposs needs while also minimizing risk for the bank. What you do Drive recovery efforts for written-off accounts. Achieve performance targets across key indicators: delinquencies, recoveries, contact attempts, PTP kept, and dollar collected. Support departmental financial KPIs and cost management. Submit reports within deadlines and maintain compliance with credit policies, BNM guidelines, and internal controls. Implement effective collection strategies to accelerate recovery outcomes. Identify cases to be outsource to Collection Agencies promptly. Ensure timely updates of agency status on collection accounts in the Debt Management (DM) system. Who you are A degree in a relevant field, such as finance or business At least 3 years of experience in collections or a related field, such as credit risk or customer service Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal stakeholders Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop creative solutions Empathetic and customer-focused, with a passion for helping others Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines Who we are As Singapore&aposs longest established bank, we have been dedicated to enabling individuals and businesses to achieve their aspirations since 1932.
