In this role, you will work with Global leadership of the Cochlear's Manufacturing Support across Macquarie University (Manufacturing, Repair and Toolroom), Lane Cove, Brisbane, Weybridge, Boulder, Kuala Lumpur, Chengdu and third party repair centres to the development and execution of a Manufacturing strategy in line with Cochlear's long term goals and objectives.Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads and manages Global Manufacturing Network Optimisation, Manufacturing Engineering Support, and Maintenance and Calibration
  • Supports manufacturing network operations with engineering and technical services to ensure short and long term targets are met on time and within budget in a safe, hygienic and quality controlled environment.
  • Deliver Day to day tasks within established procedures and processes.
  • Accountable to specific deliverables against targets within the area of expertise
  • Work with Computer system navigation (manufacturing systems) and working with engineer in data management.
  • Able to solve problems through analysis based on technical knowledge; some problems may require additional thinking/interpretation based on technical knowledge
  • Work with cross-functional groups to improve business processes across the organization.
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in a highly regulated Medical Device or GMP manufacturing site.
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent, an engineering background (electrical, electronics or IT).
  • Demonstrated in Computer system navigation (manufacturing systems) and in data management.
  • Ability to work in a responsible and efficient manner and to manage competing priorities in a timely manner.
  • Good understanding of GMP
  • Exposure to a highly regulated environment working within a QMS framework - ISO13485, FDA CFR – 21 Quality Systems.
  • Proficiency in the use of a computer and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good interpersonal skills and written communication in English.
