The position reports to the Head of Engineering Job Overview: We are looking for a sharp, strategic, and highly experienced Senior or Lead Business Analyst to join our growing retail IT team. In this leadership role, you will be the primary bridge between our strategic business objectives and our technology solutions, taking ownership of the analysis function for our Business Support Systems (BSS) product suite. You will be responsible for dissecting complex business challenges and defining robust requirements for mission-critical systems like billing, charging, order management, and CRM. The ideal candidate will not only deliver exceptional analysis but also mentor a team of analysts and drive best practices across the organization. Your work life: Strategic Analysis and Process Re-engineering: Lead the analysis of complex, cross-functional business initiatives. Drive requirements elicitation by leading high-level workshops, conducting deep-dive analysis, and challenging the status quo to re-engineer and optimize core business processes for maximum efficiency and value. Leadership and Mentorship: Act as the leader for the business analysis practice within the team. Mentor and guide junior to senior Business Analysts, establishing best practices, standardizing documentation, and fostering a culture of analytical excellence and continuous improvement. Solution Design and Governance: Translate high-level business needs into comprehensive and clear functional specifications, epics, and user stories. Own the integrity of the business requirements throughout the project lifecycle and ensure that proposed solutions are scalable, efficient, and align with the long-term BSS architectural vision. Senior Stakeholder Management and Communication: Act as a trusted advisor to senior business stakeholders and product leadership. Drive alignment on scope, manage conflicting priorities, and facilitate complex negotiations to achieve consensus on enterprise-level solutions. Quality and Validation Strategy: Define the overall User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategy and key success metrics for large-scale projects. Oversee the validation phase, supporting QA and business teams to ensure that solutions are robust, fit for purpose, and meet the highest quality standards. To be considered, you'll need: A minimum bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT business analysis, with a proven track record of leading complex projects. Deep expertise in the telco industry with a strong focus on BSS platforms and processes (billing, CRM, order management, product catalogs) is essential. Demonstrated experience in leading or mentoring other business analysts. Expertise in business process modelling (BPMN) and a variety of requirements documentation techniques (user stories, use cases, functional specifications). Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity. Superior verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience presenting to and influencing senior leadership. Extensive hands-on experience with Agile management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
