This role involves interaction with customers, deployment teams, and other Engineers. The effective Systems Engineer must be able to clearly communicate, thoroughly document, and demonstrate product & software competency. The Systems Engineer must have the ability to establish collaborative working relationships with cross-functional project & product teams.II. Specific Duties, Activities and ResponsibilitiesTechnical - Follow and provide feedback on technical documentation, new product validation/requirements, test plans, technical solution design, server & software deployment, system integration etc.VMware ESXi patching and upgrade remediationPeer SupportAdministrative activityPerforms other duties as assignedIII. Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesCommunicationParticipate in conference calls with internal customers to facilitate project team collaborationEstablish a rapport with customers (internal & external) that is conducive to long-term business relationshipsProvide team support and product information on BD products as assigned by manager or supervisorMust be able to lead customer teams, share expertise, gain consensus within teams and deliver concise and consistent communicationProvide product feedback, technical insight, and customer requirementsEffectively communicates the vision and business need for change to others and maintains a positive perspectiveTechnicalKnowledge of hospital information systems, system validation, databases, and system virtualizationPrepare and deliver technical presentations to our customersCommunicates technical requirements and recommendations/solutions to project leadership teamAbility to collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams with a focus on small to medium projects with a focus on legacy and ancillary systemsMust be detail oriented, and demonstrate the ability to multitask and implement projects consistent with established company and customer objectivesDemonstrate the ability to understand cause and effect when analyzing a process, situation, or issueDemonstrate problem solving, troubleshooting, and system consultation related to BD products, best practice considerations and standardizationInstall, Upgrade, and support the deployment of BD products and software in customer environmentsExpected to act as a customer support resource when necessaryCollaborate with customers and senior Systems Engineers on confirming specifications/requirementsAdministrativeFollow and provide input to product documentationParticipate in specialized projects and teamsWork independentlyComply with all Technology & Engineering Deployment Policies and ProceduresEnsure all role-related project records are accurate and currentMonitor and supply updates on escalated critical issuesPossess excellent organizational skills with the flexibility to readily adapt to changeRecognize unnecessary workflow steps and identify processes that can be improved to increase productivityParticipate in cross-functional teams with the purpose of improving process, workflow, and serviceRequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.Experience in healthcare information systems. Two or more years in a healthcare environment with technical (systems) involvement and computerized system applications. Must have a working knowledge of a variety of Operating Systems, software applications, including BD products. Experience with small to medium projects required.Preferred certifications and/or experience include:VMware ESXi iDRAC PuTTY Dell Enterprise Servers SQL/DB Admin Microsoft Technologies Networking HIPAA IT SecurityMust provide proof of and maintain current immunizations and obtain additional immunizations appropriate for and required by the facility which enables access to customer sites in order to perform essential job functions.This position require to support flexible night shift.At BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
