Do you want to work in a high-trust culture where you’ll feel empowered to make decisions that result in impact?To carry out all engineering underwriting related functions, reporting / reviewing / assessing portfolio and providing technical training to ensure overall efficiency of the department.You'll be responsible for:
  • Risk assessment and decision making in underwriting of risks beyond branch authorities according to company’s risk appetite and guidelines.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of underwriting information, decisions and referrals for future reference and audit purposes.
  • Provide technical assistance to branches.
  • Prepare large risk reporting to local authorities when required.
  • Checking and monitoring of risks retentions and accumulations.
  • Analyse claim statistics and review/recommend new underwriting measures to improve the profitability of the portfolio.
  • Assisting superior in conducting training for staff and agent.
  • Contribute to development and refinement of technical underwriting guidelines.
  • Take on additional duties, projects or responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.
Important to your success:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, , science , actuarial science or any related field
  • Experience in Construction and Engineering Underwriting
  • Strong analytical skill
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to leverage AI tools like ChatGPT for automating routine tasks and enhancing productivity.
