JOB DESCRPTION Analyze production schedules and historical consumption data to accurately forecast material requirements and ensure timely availability of materials. Manage and optimize the flow of materials across the supply chain, implementing strategies to minimize excess inventory while avoiding stockouts. Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, such as delays, shortages, and demand fluctuations, to maintain production continuity. Collaborate closely with production, procurement, warehouse, and quality teams to align material planning with operational needs. Monitor supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery and quality compliance, escalating issues as needed. Utilize ERP/MRP systems to plan, track, and update material requirements, ensuring data integrity and alignment with actual operations. Lead initiatives to streamline processes, improve material flow, and drive cost reduction and efficiency improvements across the supply chain. Prepare regular reports on inventory status, material availability, and planning KPIs for management review. Support new product introductions (NPI) by coordinating material readiness and managing ramp-up or phase-out activities. JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. Professional certification (e.g., APICS CPIM / CSCP) is an added advantage. Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in material planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment. Strong background in using MRP / ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent). Skills & Competencies Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data for effective forecasting and decision-making. Solid knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management practices, and lean or continuous improvement principles. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis). Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across functions and with external partners.
