Junior Network Engineer

The Junior Network Engineer will assist in the maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the company's IT network infrastructure. This includes supporting network devices, ensuring stable connectivity across production and office environments, and providing day-to-day technical support for end-users. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points). Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues to minimize downtime in both office and production floor environments. Provide Level 1 and 2 network support to users and escalate complex issues to senior engineers or vendors when necessary. Support factory automation systems, IoT devices, and machine-to-machine communication within the production network. Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and asset inventories. Assist in implementing network security measures, including firewalls, antivirus, and access control policies. Participate in backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity. Work closely with vendors, contractors, and service providers on network-related projects. Ensure compliance with IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and industry best practices. Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on network equipment. Qualifications & Skills: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or related field. 1.5-3 years of experience in networking or IT support (internships or project-based experience acceptable). Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN). Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, or other enterprise networking equipment (certifications such as CCNA are an added advantage). Understanding of network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios). Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Willingness to work in shifts or provide on-call support if required.
