Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and support the network infrastructure in our manufacturing environment. This role ensures reliable connectivity for enterprise IT systems, production floor automation, and operational technology (OT) equipment. The Network Engineer will be responsible for maintaining high availability, security, and performance of networks critical to 24/7 manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Network Infrastructure Management: Configure, monitor, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center networks across offices, plants, and warehouses. Factory & OT Systems Integration: Support manufacturing systems (MES, SCADA, PLCs, IoT devices, robotics) through secure and stable network connections. Network Security: Manage firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, and access controls to protect production and corporate networks from cyber threats. Performance Monitoring: Use tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, or equivalent to monitor network health, analyze traffic, and troubleshoot latency issues. Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Respond quickly to network outages and resolve connectivity issues affecting production lines, minimizing downtime. Server & Cloud Integration: Support connectivity to ERP systems, cloud services, and manufacturing applications hosted on-premises or hybrid environments. Collaboration: Work with IT, OT, and cybersecurity teams to ensure seamless integration of systems across production and business functions. Upgrades & Projects: Participate in network infrastructure projects including expansions, upgrades, and technology refreshes. Documentation: Maintain updated network diagrams, configurations, SOPs, and audit compliance documentation. Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with equipment vendors (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, etc.) and manufacturing technology partners. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field. 3-5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment . Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, NAT, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and SD-WAN. Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent). Familiarity with OT/industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC-UA, PROFINET) is an advantage. Knowledge of network security frameworks and vulnerability management. Hands-on experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are preferred.
