- Create a relationship with the set of brands/clients assigned to you. Become the go to person for all their client servicing problems.
- Understand the category of clients/brands you would be working on.
- Learn specific client media deals, planning procedures, Tools and resources needed to get the job done.
- Show leadership qualities by identifying revenue growth opportunities beyond basic media planning - e.g Content, Insights, Activation etc.
- Be the strategy lead for the set of brands/clients assigned.
- Have a full view of Digital and executions that happen on the assigned accounts.
- Be the key connection between all internal and external functions.
- Create a learning environment within the current team and also extended team.
- Make sure that all deliveries, offline and online are being executed with lowest level no errors.
- Help the Director drive revenue growth within the set of clients assigned.
- Expected to pitch for new accounts or work on live/active pitches to support the senior management.
- To have a positive impact on client referral ratings.
- Managing all aspects of campaigns and day-to-day needs of the accounts, handling from briefing through reporting.
- Drive innovative media strategies.
- Responsible for planning, buying and reporting to assigned accounts.
- Develop and build strong working relationships with internal teams.
- Responsible for mentoring, training, and team building.
- Manage vendor relationships.
- Assist the Associate Director/Director in creating media plans, strategically and efficiently.
- Initiate creative and business building ideas.
- Oversee plan negotiations and media team activities.
- Magnify the buying power of every dollar spent.
- Maintain status reports to ensure efficient workflow to meet deadlines and write reports of key meetings.
- Lead internal meetings with other departments and call on agency resources to strengthen ideas.
- Build a comprehensive media knowledge base and synthesizes information into ideas.
- Staff supervision, training and development as well as serving as a positive role model with a hard work ethic and vigorously reviewing all work to ensure high quality standard.
- Writing and presenting presentations.
- Minimum 8 years of media planning experience in media or interactive advertising agency.
- Proven record of accomplishment on the execution and development of media and digital strategies for clients.
- Strong leadership and Strategic Thinker.
- Detailed oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure.
- Strong negotiating skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Strong relationship building skills which include maintaining positive client relationships.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities.
- Strong analytical abilities and quantitative skills, including math proficiency.
- Ability to effectively utilize media research and reporting resources.
- Technical proficiency, particularly with media systems and MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
