Responsibilities: To formulate and oversee the implementation of recovery plans on complicated/special needs distressed impaired accounts. To be the liaison person and in charge for Legacy Accounts (fully written off) managed on behalf of Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad. To in charge/assist/formulate/liaise for distressed impaired accounts involving suits against the Bank To in charge on costs control in doing recovery for the Bank To develop and monitor business process improvements in Recovery & Asset Management / SMEB Asset Management Sdn Bhd To provide direction in developing plans and management to maximize recovery particularly complicated/ special needs distressed impaired accounts once business as usual ("BAU") recovery plans are not feasible/not working. To be the liaison person for matters concerning "Legacy Accounts" i.e. fully written off accounts that are managed on behalf of Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Bhd from the last demerger exercise. To assist/formulate/liaise for distressed impaired accounts involving legal suits against the Bank. This normally works in tandem with Group Legal and external solicitors. To supervise the recovery plans, conform to the Bank's and statutory guidelines and regulations To manage the liaison with external service providers such as lawyers, receivers and managers, liquidators, and debt collection agencies for the recovery mode. Comply & report on Anti Money Laundering (AMLA), frauds and defalcations (including attempted frauds), breaches of Employee Code of Conduct, etc. To perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time. Ensure effective rehabilitation plan on all distressed (Impaired & written off) accounts through any form of recovery methods to maximize recovery Develop plan to maximize recovery of these distressed impaired accounts Provide input to business users in the form of lessons learnt to improve quality of asset acquisition and projects supervision Maximize and expedite collections on all distressed impaired accounts Develop engagement plan with external parties (service providers, other banks, creditors and solicitors) to continuously improve the recovery plan Requirements: A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in banking or insolvency practice, had assumed management positions with good professional ethics and occupational track records.
