Basic Function : To Assist and Manage The Procurement Activities At Wisma GentingJob Summary:
The Assistant Procurement Manager will support the procurement team in acquiring goods and services for the organization. They will work closely with the Procurement Manager to manage the purchasing process, maintain supplier relationships, ensure compliance with organizational policies, and ensure cost-effective and efficient procurement operations.Job Description: * Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulations in all procurement activities. Maintain accurate records and documentation of transactions.
- Plan sourcing strategies for each project through analysis of data and spending trends
- Ensure comprehensive information and documentation of each Tender Projects/Request for Proposal events.
- Ensure goods and services are delivered on time, within scopes and within budget
- Initiate due diligent check on new suppliers and conducting price benchmarking exercises making sure RIGHT supplier and RIGHT price in place
- Ensure timely renewal of contracts
- Establish and maintain relationship with major suppliers and all the stakeholders
- Handle daily operation issues and update new products via sourcing and market info for stakeholders
- Contribute new ideas for system efficiency and stakeholders' satisfactions
- Keep track on project update status from individual buyers and build buyers' team work and increase work efficiency among buyers
- Assist in the negotiation of terms and pricing with suppliers, aiming to achieve the best value for the company.
- Contribute to process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and best practices in procurement.
- Possess good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in leading/supervising buyers
- Hands-on experience in using SAP / Ariba / Oracle or any other ERP system will be an added advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
