About the Role: The Assistant Contract Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the strategic procurement function by overseeing contract governance, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and facilitating executive-level reporting. This role requires a strong grasp of procurement frameworks, contract lifecycle management, and cross-functional coordination to drive operational excellence and strategic alignment. What will you do: Lead the review and facilitation of Management Approval Papers (MAPs), ensuring alignment with corporate policies and governance standards. Act as a compliance gatekeeper by validating procurement documentation and advising on process improvements. Oversee the end-to-end management of procurement contracts, including collation, validation, and system reconciliation against approved MAPs. Monitor contract timelines and proactively engage stakeholders with timely renewal alerts and risk mitigation strategies. Conduct periodic contract performance and compliance analysis to inform strategic decisions. Drive the development and consolidation of monthly EXCO decks, synthesizing inputs from procurement and business units into actionable insights. Serve as a liaison between procurement and executive leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment on key initiatives. Coordinate capital commitment tracking by validating project status, purchase orders, and payment flows with relevant stakeholders. Ensure accurate reporting and alignment with financial planning and procurement execution. Prepare and disseminate high-quality minutes of meetings (MoMs) for procurement and strategic discussions, ensuring clarity, accountability, and follow-through. Support ad hoc strategic initiatives and provide analytical and operational support to the Strategic Procurement Lead, Head of COE, and COO. Skills and experience you possess: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Law, or related discipline; professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPM) are an advantage. 3-5+ years of experience in procurement, contract management, or corporate governance. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in procurement systems, contract databases, and Microsoft Office tools.
