Senior Business Analyst - Cost & Expense Transformation Lead

As the transformation lead, you will design future-state templates, define target operating models, and oversee the development of new platform capabilities that support both actuals and planning cycles. You will engage business and finance users to align on a common vision, challenge inefficient legacy processes, and steer the organization toward a simplified, strategic way of managing cost data. You will also lead the monthly execution cycle, including controls, validations, and country-level reviews, ensuring outputs are accurate, explainable, and timely. Over time, you will also support transformation logic and reporting through tools like Alteryx and Power BI.Key Deliverables:
- Define and own the target operating model for cost and planning analytics.
- Design standardized templates and data structures for actuals and forecast submissions.
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align on transformation priorities and reporting lenses.
- Manage and do monthly processes: data collection, validation, reconciliation, and controls.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and platform features.
- Execute governance routines including SLA monitoring, control libraries, and lineage documentation.
- Guide junior analysts and serve as SME for platform/process design and enhancements.
- Lead the transformation of actuals and forecast reporting processes across Company.
- Run recurring monthly processes and ensure outputs are complete, timely, and reliable.
- Drive consistency across account codes, cost centre hierarchies, function mappings, and project structures.
- Collaborate with data engineering and tech teams to implement automation and new capabilities.
- Engage with business users to ensure reporting outputs meet strategic decision-making needs.
- Support UAT and rollout of new tools, mappings, or automation features.
- Learn and progressively use tools like Power BI and Alteryx to support process execution and enhancement.
- 8-12 years of experience in cost analytics, FP&A, or finance transformation roles.
- Strong knowledge of Chart of Accounts, function codes, and planning cycles.
- Proven experience redesigning enterprise reporting templates, processes, or platforms.
- Skilled in process execution including controls, reconciliations, and validations.
- Experience challenging legacy reporting and introducing strategic, business-aligned solutions.
- Strong analytical, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Alteryx, or finance systems is preferred.
- Experience in insurance or complex global finance environments is an advantage.
