Financial Oversight & Support Assist the Group Accountant in managing month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting, and compliance activities. Support the Group Accountant and collaborate with the wider finance team on various accounting projects and improvements. Monitor and manage cash flow requirements and provide timely updates on funding needs. Maintain a positive operating cash flow through proactive cash flow projection and monitoring. Develop and maintain SOPs for all core finance processes Accounting Operations Perform reconciliations of accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy. Process payments and invoices accurately and within expected timeframes. Verify financial statements, ledgers, and accounts, making corrections as necessary. Prepare profit and loss accounts and other financial statements. Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits. Team Supervision & Leadership Lead and monitor the performance of AP, AR, and GL functions. Ensure internal controls and financial procedures are followed by the team. Provide guidance, training, and performance reviews to direct reports. Budgeting & Forecasting Prepare and consolidate annual budgets. Support forecasting activities to align with strategic planning and business needs. Analyze budget variances and provide meaningful insights to management. Administrative & Reporting Duties Take accurate meeting minutes and follow up on action items. Perform administrative and coordination tasks as required. Handle ad hoc assignments and special projects as directed by management. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA is preferred. Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Strong understanding of accounting standards (e.g., MFRS, IFRS), tax regulations, and financial controls. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Microsoft BC and PowerBI).
