- Degree in Accounting/Finance or professional papers (ACCA/CIMA/MICPA) - pursuing/finalist acceptable.
- 3-4 years' finance/accounting experience; at least 1-2 years in supervisory/assistant manager role.
- Solid Malaysian tax & statutory knowledge (SST, PCB/EPF/SOCSO).
- Hands-on with accounting software (e.g., Autocount) and advanced Excel/Sheets.
- Experience in a fast-paced, growth or sales-driven environment preferred; real estate/proptech exposure is a plus, not mandatory.
- Manage Accounts Payable/Receivable, staff claims, developer billings.
- Prepare and review payment vouchers, online banking transfers, and petty cash reimbursements.
- Perform daily/weekly bank postings and reconciliations.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trail in the ERP/accounting system.
- Execute month-end and quarter-end close including accruals, prepayments, intercompany entries.
- Reconcile ledgers: bank, AR/AP, SST, payroll-related accounts, project/event cost centres.
- Produce management reports: P&L by division, balance sheet schedules, cash flow, variance analysis, dashboards.
- Ensure timely and accurate filings: SST, PCB/EPF/SOCSO and other Malaysian statutory requirements.
- Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors & tax agents.
- Uphold internal controls: approval matrix, segregation of duties, document retention, SOP adherence.
- Consolidate annual budgets from departments; monitor actual vs. budget.
- Maintain rolling cash flow and revenue forecasts; run scenario analyses for new initiatives/projects.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management for cost optimisation and revenue improvement.
- Map, document, and refine finance SOPs (onboarding, payments, events, ERP workflows).
- Lead/assist ERP enhancements, automation projects, and dashboard/reporting improvements.
- Champion continuous improvement and best practices within the finance team.
- Liaise with internal teams (Sales Ops, HR/Admin, Project Teams, Business Owners) and externals (banks, auditors, tax agents, ERP vendors).
- Provide clear finance updates, policy reminders, and training to non-finance stakeholders.
- Mentor, coach, and review work of junior finance staff; manage workload distribution and development plans.
