As a Recovery Officer at OCBC, you'll play a vital role in helping our customers manage their debt and get back on track. You'll work closely with them to understand their financial situation and develop personalized plans to help them overcome their challenges. To succeed in this role, you'll need to take a customer-centric approach, understanding the unique needs and circumstances of each customer. You'll work closely with them to identify solutions, negotiate payment plans, and provide ongoing support to help them achieve financial stability. Your goal is to find mutually beneficial solutions that meet the customer's needs while also minimizing risk for the bank.What you doDrive recovery efforts for written-off accounts.Achieve performance targets across key indicators: delinquencies, recoveries, contact attempts, PTP kept, and dollar collected.Support departmental financial KPIs and cost management.Submit reports within deadlines and maintain compliance with credit policies, BNM guidelines, and internal controls.Implement effective collection strategies to accelerate recovery outcomes. Identify cases to be outsource to Collection Agencies promptly.Ensure timely updates of agency status on collection accounts in the Debt Management (DM) system.Who you areA degree in a relevant field, such as finance or businessAt least 3 years of experience in collections or a related field, such as credit risk or customer serviceStrong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal stakeholdersAnalytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop creative solutionsEmpathetic and customer-focused, with a passion for helping othersAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlinesWho we are
