Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Restaurant Manager to lead the operations of a new, premium concept restaurant brand launching its first outlet in Kuala Lumpur. This role requires a proven leader with strong operational expertise, people management skills, and the ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience in a high-volume and fast-paced environment. This is not a typical local F&B role - the brand operates with world-class SOPs, rigorous training systems, synchronized greetings, and service discipline comparable to top-tier international players! The right candidate will be well-compensated for their expertise, leadership, and ability to adapt to a highly systematic environment . Beyond attractive pay, this role offers the opportunity to lead a flagship outlet, implement international standards, and fast-track into multi-outlet leadership as the brand expands. Key Responsibilities Support all pre-opening preparations (recruitment, training, SOP setup, operational readiness) Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations with 100% adherence to SOPs and brand standards. Lead, train, and motivate a team to maintain high service and food quality standards. Train, coach, and discipline staff to deliver a systematic service culture (welcome/farewell greetings, synchronized service steps, guest care rituals). Manage manpower planning and rostering for late-night operating hours (till midnight). Control inventory, procurement, and food cost to ensure operational efficiency. Drive sales and profitability through effective cost control, manpower planning, and inventory management. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally to uphold the restaurant's reputation. Prepare and review operational reports, budgets, and forecasts. Serve as the liaison with the brand's HQ to align on international standards and local execution. Resolve operational issues and manage customer escalations effectively. Key Requirements Minimum 7-10 years of restaurant/food & beverage management experience, preferably in premium dining or high-volume establishments. Strong background in structured, SOP-driven F&B operations. Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Pre-opening or new outlet launch experience highly preferred. Proven ability to manage P&L, control costs, and achieve financial targets. Hands-on, detail-oriented, and highly adaptable in a dynamic environment. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to create memorable dining experiences. Flexible to work late shifts on weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required.
