Title: Regional Director - Data & Analytics Location: Malaysia, KL We are seeking a strategic and visionary leader to join our organization as Regional Director - Data Excellence for the AMEA region. This is a pivotal leadership role that will drive the transformation of data and analytics capabilities across multiple markets, enabling smarter decisions and greater business impact. As part of the regional leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the development, execution, and continuous improvement of data products and services that support our long-term vision of becoming a data-driven, AI-enabled enterprise. Key Responsibilities: Partner closely with senior stakeholders across the region to define and implement data and analytics roadmaps aligned to business priorities. Lead the development and delivery of regional data products and reporting capabilities, ensuring they are scalable, well-governed, and generate measurable business value. Serve as the single point of contact for governing the use of AI and GenAI in the region, aligning with global frameworks and ensuring P&L-impacting use cases. Build and manage cross-functional teams of product owners and analysts, working in a matrixed environment with global and local data teams. Oversee the full product lifecycle of data initiatives, from discovery and prototyping to implementation and continuous optimization. Enable platform-based, connected data ecosystems that integrate emerging technologies (IoT, AI, cloud, etc.) to deliver seamless, data-informed experiences. Establish a demand governance framework to prioritize high-value opportunities and manage total cost of ownership across markets. Partner with global teams and external providers to accelerate innovation, share best practices, and ensure alignment across initiatives. Qualifications: Master's degree or MBA in Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field. 10+ years of experience leading data or analytics teams in complex, matrixed environments. Strong business acumen, preferably with experience in CPG or information-intensive industries. Proven track record in developing and deploying data strategies, including experience with predictive/prescriptive analytics, AI, and MDM at scale. Hands-on knowledge of analytics and data tools (e.g., BI platforms, Informatica, Alteryx, cloud ecosystems). Skilled in Agile delivery, data product management, and stakeholder engagement at the executive level. Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions, while driving cross-functional alignment and execution.
