Description We are working with a global food ingredients business on a critical regional leadership hire. This is a role for a true commercial driver-someone who not only leads from the front but thrives on building, chasing, and closing. The company is looking for more than just a regional sales leader. They want a builder, a hunter, someone who&aposs hungry, unafraid to fail, and thrives in tough markets with a resilient, solutions-focused mindset. Responsibilities In this APAC role, you will take full ownership of commercial performance across APAC (excluding South Asia) markets. That includes developing and executing sales strategies, managing high-performing teams, building trusted relationships with C-suite customers and distribution partners, and unlocking new business across the region. You will collaborate closely with technical, marketing, and regulatory teams to craft and deliver compelling customer solutions, especially in growth segments like bakery, processed meats, and sauces & seasonings. Success in this role demands more than strategy. It requires action. You are someone who understands the value of rolling up your sleeves, personally driving high-stakes negotiations, and staying close to your customers and teams. You have got the stamina to work through tough quarters, the drive to keep pushing even when the odds are not ideal, and the mindset to turn rejection into opportunity. You are commercially sharp, emotionally strong, and comfortable being uncomfortable. You will be empowered with regional scope, reporting directly to the APAC President, and expected to set the tone-not just for results, but for culture. You bring discipline and structure, but also grit and tenacity. You inspire performance not just through vision, but through your own example of hard work and resilience. Requirements We are looking for someone with at least a decade of experience in regional sales leadership, ideally within the food ingredients or flavor space. You have led cross-border teams, know how to navigate complex B2B buying cycles, and have a reputation for converting opportunities and building sustainable pipelines. A background in managing P&L, pricing strategy, and customer acquisition is essential. A degree in food science or a related field is strongly preferred. This role is based in Malaysia and will require regular travel across the region.
