Job Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities Responsible in preparation of project costing and budget analysis for management review and submission, by understanding the design intend from designers. Preparation of BOQ, tender documents, cost estimation, progress claims, coordinate with Project team in administering contractual claims such as VO and time extension, checking drawings, material sourcing, review final draft tender with management before submission. Procurement of all services and capital items, including works and ensuring that contracts are done and administered correctly for all contracts. Procurement of all works and related items for the business unit and ensuring that contracts are in place after an appropriate tender process. Ensure all contracts are drafted, approved, signed off by all parties and administered in accordance with Procurement Guidelines procedures for all high value and repetitive purchases. Ensure the dictates of the service contract are met by conducting regular review through meeting with all the contractors including the contractors on long term contracts. Management of the Preferred Supplier Tender, Preferred Supplier selection and award of the contract process including contract administration for all preferred supplier contracts. Ensure business units interests are protected at all times by ensuring that proper procedures and processes are followed and avoid conflict of interests, unnecessary gifts etc. Plan, schedule and prioritize the procurement function including plan for efficient and effective procurement of goods and services for the day to day operations. Ensure that Terms of References and the Specifications are adequately prepared in a fully professional, transparent and ethical manner and that all participating suppliers, contractors are treated on a fair and equal manner. Assure that selection of all suppliers, contractors is performed in a fully professional, transparent and ethical manner and participating suppliers, contractors are treated on a fair and equal manner. Guard against conflict of interest, real or in appearance, in the operations of the procurement activity. Protect the procurement activity from fraud, waste and abuse. Ensure strict compliance with the procedures and rules set out in solicitation documents, especially the criteria and methodology for evaluation of bids and proposals. Prepare Project Cash Flow, progress claim to client and follow-up on project contractual matters especially progress payment. As part of the SOW and KPI, to priorities that profit margins shall need to be at a minimum of 25% during the closing or finalizing of the account. This proposal aims to ensure a substantial improvement in the margin performance, as specified in the contract. Any ad-hoc jobs assigned by the directors or management. Requirement: Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Knowledge of interior design, architecture, or building technology is a plus. 5 to 7 years of experience in quantity surveying, particularly within the interior design, construction, or architectural sectors. Demonstrated experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and contract management. Experience with projects in both commercial and hospitality interiors is beneficial. Familiarity with QS software, AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software for understanding project specifications and requirements. Strong command of Microsoft Excel and other tools for cost analysis and reporting. Knowledge of construction and interior fit-out materials, methods, and market pricing. Possesses strong analytical skills to interpret designs and specifications accurately, with keen attention to detail ensuring precision in measurements, BOQs, and cost documentation. Negotiation Skills: Effective in negotiating with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to secure the best terms. Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders, while effectively managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines. Ability to work well in a team environment and across different departments (design, business development and project management). Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to managing risks and optimizing costs. High standards of ethics and integrity, especially in handling project finances and contract terms.
