Responsibilities & Duties: Develop and establish project target costs based on feasibility studies, schematic designs, and construction drawings. Review pre-tender documentation including cost estimates, bill of quantities (BQ), design specifications, and contract terms. Coordinate with project site teams to evaluate progress claims, assess variation orders, and ensure cost control throughout implementation. Manage dynamic cost tracking and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle, including final account settlement and financial reporting. Prepare project cost management summaries and maintain/update cost index records in SAP for internal reference and benchmarking. Enhance understanding of technical cost benchmarks, and propose value engineering opportunities based on insights from executed projects. Stay up to date with evolving solar technologies and assess their cost implications on project delivery, incorporating insights into the company's cost database. Requirements: Degree in MEP Quantity Surveying / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering. Minimum 2 years of experience with related MEP Quantity Surveying environment. Preferably experience in providing cost management services for Solar EPC or handling large consulting projects in a professional cost consultancy firm. Strong analytical, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with others in an integrated team environment. Honest and trustworthy individual with a strong sense of professional ethics and team spirit. Able to communicate fluently in Malaysia, English and Mandarin to serve Mandarin-speaking customers (Cantonese and Japanese will be an added advantage but not essential). Show more Show less
