Salary Range: MYR 170,000 per annum (Negotiable, based on experience)The OpportunityWe are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our partnership and market expansion efforts in Malaysia. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in chemical or manufacturing sales who thrives on building long-term business relationships. The position requires extensive domestic travel to establish contracts, develop supplier and agent networks, and ensure compliance with our standards of quality and service.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and expand markets and distribution channels for water-based coatings in MalaysiaDefine and execute effective sales and business growth strategiesManage key accounts, coordinate logistics, and oversee after-sales supportDrive pricing strategies, lead contract negotiations, and ensure timely payment collectionsConduct market research and intelligence on competitors, pricing trends, and regulatory requirementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, technical support, and regional business units to deliver customer successRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Business, or related fieldMinimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing, chemical industry, or international trade salesFluent in Chinese and English (Malay proficiency is an added advantage)Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skillsWillingness to travel extensively (50–70% of working time) within MalaysiaKnowledge of manufacturing processes/chemical raw materials industry is preferredProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems
