About the RoleThe role of the Client Manager is to build and promote key business relationships for Swiss Re across all levels with our Family Retakaful clients in the Southeast Asian region. This includes business origination, day to day account maintenance and key relationship development. The role has a market focus on Malaysia and Indonesia, and offers established technicians in areas of product development or risk management the exposure to sales and business development.The Client Manager will also assist the wider Swiss Re community in other locations to develop Retakaful business, including support to the Shariah officer and Shariah Committee in Shariah related activities.Key Responsibilities:

Supports the development and maintenance of client relationship focusing on Retakaful decision makers and key influencers of assigned clients
Supports origination of Retakaful business opportunities and drive Swiss Re's cross functional teams to deliver differentiating solutions to meet client's strategic growth aspirations and Swiss Re's business objectives
Owns the quote process and leveraging technical expertise to run Retakaful costing, review, and approve quotes within authority
Negotiates with our contacts at key clients to identify and agree on preferable terms for clients and Swiss Re
Contributes to the profit centre responsibility and accountability for business of assigned client(s) by involving in the planning, budgeting and active portfolio management
Supports the development of SEA Family Retakaful strategy, including building of business plan and monitoring of business KPIs
Supports the thought leadership initiatives on Retakaful within Swiss Re and the Retakaful markets
Supports the branch on internal projects, research, monitoring and reporting on Family Retakaful and Shariah matters
Supports the management of the Retakaful business portfolio to meet internal operational control standards including business planning and reporting, contact certainty, data quality etc.

About You

Minimum 7 years of relevant life (re)insurance / (re)takaful experience
Outgoing, confident with good communication and presentation skills. Self-starter, problem solver, entrepreneurial with the ability to think on your feet
Good marketing and negotiation skills with a focus client value creation
Motivated and results oriented with an ability to work in a team and deliver under pressure
Excellent command of English and proficiency in Malay would be advantageous
Actuarial qualification or background would be advantageous
Willing to travel as required (not more than 10%).
