The Legal & Compliance Executive will support the Head of Group Legal in managing legal, corporate secretarial and compliance matters across the Group, with a focus on Malaysia and Indonesia entities. Responsibilities: Contract & Risk Management: Drafting, reviewing and negotiating various types of contracts, including but not limited to tender documents, commercial agreements, service contracts, tenancy agreements, and outsourcing arrangements. Identifying potential legal risks and advising the business on how to mitigate them. Corporate Secretarial Matters: Providing support for corporate secretarial matters, including assistance in board meetings and annual general meetings (AGM), preparation of resolutions and liaison with external counsel. Litigation & Dispute Resolution : Providing advice and support on early-stage disputes, managing and liaising with external counsel for litigation and other dispute resolution matters. Legal Research & Advisory : Conducting legal research and advising on contractual matters, employment matters, labour disputes, personal data protection laws, and other legal topics relevant to the Group's operations. Monitoring and reporting on legal and regulatory developments that may impact the Group's business activities. Corporate Governance & Compliance: Supporting the creation, review, and update of Group-wide policies and procedures. Ensuing compliance with local laws and regulations and Group-wide policies and procedures. Other ad-hoc matters and projects as assigned by Head of Group Legal from time to time. Requirements: A recognised law degree and extensive experience in handling legal matters. Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE), gained from law firms, multinational corporations (MNCs), or other reputable organisations. Additional certifications in corporate governance, compliance, or data protection are a plus. Strong contract review and drafting skills in English. Ability to competently review contracts and correspondences in Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia. Experience in managing disputes and litigation processes. Familiarity with corporate secretarial practices and regulatory filings. Prior experience in the telecommunications or IT industry is advantageous. Fluent in English; working proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia required; Mandarin proficiency is a plus. Demonstrates the ability to work independently across multiple jurisdictions, while exercising sound judgment in managing priorities and escalating legal issues that may have broader implications for the Group.
