HR Services Specialist - JapaneseLife Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew, we craft and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.What will you be doing?The primary objective is to ensure the seamless delivery of HR and pay administration services to both employees and line managers throughout the entire employee lifecycle, strictly adhering to S+N policies and procedures while maintaining performance standards and complying with statutory regulations. This entails providing timely and pertinent information and guidance to employees, managers, and external stakeholders to optimize operational efficiency, effectiveness, and confidence levels.Customer Service Delivery role involves providing high-quality and professional service to all customers, addressing their inquiries, issues, and complaints promptly and effectively. This includes resolving day-to-day customer service matters and handling service recovery when necessary. Additionally, the role entails administering employee and pay-related tasks efficiently, offering timely advice on employee lifecycle activities, and ensuring accurate data entry into HR systems. Document creation and maintenance, as well as adherence to corporate policies and standards, are critical aspects of the role. Furthermore, maintaining confidentiality and escalating issues appropriately are crucial for smooth operational processes and customer satisfaction.Employee Services Administration role encompasses handling various aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, transfers, and offboarding processes, as well as handling pay adjustments, special leave requests, and compensation and benefits administration for employees and managers. Responsibilities also include overseeing probationary periods, addressing formal issues with the HR Consultancy team, processing deductions and entitlements accurately, and ensuring timely handling of employee departures. Additionally, validating insurance and providing standard reports to relevant parties are integral parts of the role.Pay and Reward Administration role involves efficiently processing pay data and documentation to ensure accurate payroll production for S+N. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate pay records, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, and handling voluntary deductions authorized by employees. Additionally, the role supports HR Customer Services Advisors with pay-related queries, administers Sharesave and insurance claims, and manages reward/benefit schemes on behalf of S+N.Contracts & Employment Compliance role involves administering and monitoring the offer and onboarding processes for internal and external candidates, including background checks, contract issuance, and onboarding documentation. Responsibilities also include conducting accurate pre-employment checks, providing timely advice to new starters, and ensuring renewal employment checks are completed accurately and promptly. Additionally, the role includes proactively providing reports to managers highlighting any non-compliance with renewal employment checks.Continuous Improvement role involves understanding customer needs and striving to enhance customer service continually. Responsibilities include utilizing performance indicators to improve services, contributing to the HR Customer Service Delivery strategy to enhance performance, and reviewing business processes as needed. Additionally, the role entails collecting and analyzing data to identify and resolve problems effectively.Coaching and Training role involves coaching and mentoring team members, assisting with training delivery for new starters, and providing subject matter expertise (SME) advice on specific country legislation or processes.What will you need to be successful?The ideal candidate should possess 6+ years of HR administration experience within a regional HR Shared Services organization, alongside a working knowledge of HR-related qualifications or relevant experience.They should demonstrate proficiency in delivering customer service targets within a complex environment and be familiar with HR or Payroll team environments, ideally in a customer-oriented commercial setting.Moreover, they must excel in overseeing and coordinating team members' work, understanding employment legislation and best practices, and navigating HR processes and procedures efficiently.Competencies such as relationship management, problem-solving, and customer focus are crucial, along with proficiency in HR metrics and analytics, continuous improvement initiatives, and commitment to excellence and collaboration within the S+N values framework.Stay connected and receive alerts for jobs like this by joining our .We're more than just a company - we're a community!
