Our client is a well-established German international company specializing in animal nutrition and functional feed additives. They are currently seeking a Deputy General Manager to support and work closely with the General Manager Asia Pacific in expanding their business across the region. This strategic role is ideal for an experienced sales leader with a successful background in animal nutrition, ideally within the feed additives segment. The focus is on driving sales growth in the monogastric sector (pigs and poultry), while experience in ruminants will be considered a valuable asset. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, with a strong technical foundation, a deep understanding of the Asia-Pacific market, and an established network in the animal feed industry. This position combines direct sales, distributor management, and business development, with a high level of autonomy and entrepreneurial spirit. Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership Own and drive sales targets across Asia-Pacific for key products. Develop and implement strategic sales plans tailored to each country and customer segment. Market Development Build in-depth knowledge of target markets, including industry dynamics, feed production, customer needs, and regulatory environments. Identify and manage local distribution partners, agents, and key direct accounts. Key Account Management Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at feed mills, premix manufacturers, integrators, and large farms. Engage with decision-makers such as nutritionists, farm managers, and procurement officers. Technical Sales & Promotion Present the scientific and commercial value of the product portfolio to both technical and commercial stakeholders. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings. Collaboration & Reporting Work in close collaboration with global teams including product management, marketing, and supply chain to ensure customer satisfaction. Provide timely and accurate reports on KPIs, sales pipeline, market trends, and competitor activity. Candidate Profile Experience Minimum 10 years of successful sales experience in the animal nutrition sector, particularly in monogastrics (pig and poultry). Solid familiarity with the Asia-Pacific market; experience in ruminants is a plus. Network Well-established network within feed mills, premix companies, veterinary consultants, and integrators. Proven ability to manage and grow distributor and agent relationships. Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related discipline. Skills Strong technical and commercial acumen. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Independent, self-driven, and results-oriented. Fluent in English; additional regional languages are advantageous. Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time across the region. Show more Show less
