- To assist in ensuring the assigned business units within the organisation adhere to the Company's accounting policy and advise management on any irregularities.
- To supervise the development and implementation of goals, policies and procedures relating to financial management, budget, funds management, accounting, credit control and corporate matters.
- To review, prepare and submit monthly management reports to facilitate the regular interpretation, analysis and presentation of operational data.
- To participate in formulating Annual Business Plan and to prepare the Annual Budget.
- To perform standard costing review and variance analysis reporting which include identification of key cost drivers, trends and operating performance to ensure cost control objectives are reached.
- To assist in formulating and ensuring implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- To continuously review systems, policies, processes, procedures and controls to ensure that accounting information is provided in a timely and effective manner.
- To be responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of all financial reports derived from the Finance Department.
- To monitor AR aging and collections.
- To review the Credit Application of the new Customer and advise the Management on the Customers financial status for the Managements consideration
- To prepare Profit & Loss schedules on a timely basis, in accordance with Finance workflow deadlines and to clean up long outstanding brought forward figures.
- To monitor the daily cash flow position of the company, this includes the current account bank balances, fixed deposits and repo placements, bank borrowings and inter-company balances.
- To liaise with auditors, bankers, tax consultants and all related governmental agencies or departments.
- To complete special task / projects / assignments given by the Top Management.
- To perform any other work as and when required.
- Possess Degree in Finance / Accounting or related discipline.
- Preferably 3 years relevant working experience in a similar capacity.
- Must be familiar with the whole spectrum of business finance and accounting.
- Possess strong analytical with good thinking and excel skills.
- Able to review process and implement changes for continuous improvement.
- Must be methodical, logical and organised.
- Result oriented with strong organising and planning skills.
- Good written and spoken in English and Mandarin
- Pleasant personality, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
