The General Trade Manager will oversee sales operations and strategies within the FMCG industry, focusing on building and maintaining strong relationships in the general trade sector. This role requires leadership in driving growth and managing a high-performing sales team.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue and growth targets in the general trade sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team objectives.
  • Analyze sales data and generate reports to assess performance and forecast sales outcomes.
  • Ensure effective distribution and availability of products across the Jakarta region.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to optimize product promotions and pricing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or any related field.
  • A strong background in sales within the FMCG industry, preferably in general trade.
  • Proven track record in distributor and key wholesaler management.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a sales team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build client relationships (proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage).
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills to identify growth opportunities.
  • Proficiency in using sales analysis tools and CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Willingness to travel across West and East Malaysia.
