Our Customer Protection team are growing and looking for a Junior Malware Analyst to join us. Customer Protection is a service offered by WithSecure which is designed to provide comprehensive protection against a wide range of threats, utilizing advanced machine learning algorithms and static and behavioural analysis techniques to detect and block malware and potentially unwanted content in real-time and on demand. Spend your summer developing your hacking skills, researching cutting-edge security topics, and gaining hands-on experience working with our cyber security specialists. WithSecure is offering paid summer internships with our Customer Protection team, where you will have the opportunity to experience cyber security threats in the real world, as well as work on a security-related research project. The length of the program is typically 10 weeks and successful internships may lead to full-time employment. What does the WithSecure Malware analyst Internship Program look like Interns at WithSecure complete practical training courses in areas including application security, network security, reverse engineering, and more to provide them with the core technical skills required by security specialists around the globe. A range of research projects are available, and there is flexibility if candidates have a project or idea they would particularly like to work on. If you're a keen programmer, you'll also have the chance to work on some smaller coding projects like automating tasks, creating rules, or performing data analysis. What are we looking for Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems. High-level understanding of computer security. Good verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to interact easily with people of different cultures and backgrounds. Whilst not mandatory any of the below experience is relevant; Familiarity with scripting languages (LUA, Python, JavaScript). Basic knowledge of C/C++ and/or other low level programming languages. Familiarity with the basics of data analysis.
