A growing property development company in Malaysia is currently looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to join the exciting team.About the role:
You will be in charge on day to day finance & accounting of the Company in ensuring that accounting records and systems comply with the company’s policies in accordance with all requirements and standards (Accounting, Statutory & Tax), as well as to analyze, prepare and develop financial projection modeling models in assessing the feasibility of business asset management and acquisition.What you'll do:
- Ensure that the day-to-day operations of Finance & accounting in relation to the full set of accounts be managed in accordance to the existing processes for timely monthly accounts closing and preparation of required financial reports.
- Liaison with business counterparts on all aspects of business and operations.
- Develop operating budgets, forecasts and financial models.
- Prepare financial modelling for potential assets.
- Assist to analyse potential business ventures and opportunities.
- Assist in handling and reviewing of entity’s legal documentation in the areas of operation, management, tenancy and loan.
- Liaise with internal and external auditor, tax agent, solicitors, bankers, company secretary and other related stakeholders to ensure compliance with all matters related to audit, tax and statutory requirements.
- Undertake any other tasks and assignments as assigned by the HOD.
- At least a degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent. Professional qualification is an added advantage.
- More than 4 years’ experience working in a similar role.
- Exposure to private investment portfolio / retail assets / REITs will be an added advantage.
- Property or Developer background will be preferred.
- Good language command (written and verbal) in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Well-versed in Financial accounting, Accounting processes, and Financial & projection modeling.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications – especially Excel and PowerPoint as well as Accounting/ Finance systems.
- Great business acumen for problem-solving and stakeholder management.
