About the client:Our client specializes in the R&D, sourcing, and trading of furniture and furnishing. They cover a competitive range of products including sofas, dining sets, bookshelves, display cabinets, as well as furniture for the office, bedroom, and kitchen. Established in 1981 in Malaysia, they have become a purveyor of furniture that is renowned locally and internationally.Responsibilities

To lead a team of inventory staff in performing day to day inventory activities including receiving goods, managing inventory storage and movement, managing physical inventory.
To ensure stock accuracy (actual and in the system) through timely and -systematic physical count, and update receiving, issuing, rejection control
To ensure accurate and on-time update of stock.
To provide support and handle inventory for the spare part
To ensure maintenance of Warehouse facilities.
To train, educate and develop warehouse team staff.
To oversee the overall activities performed by the inventory teams.
Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company's policies
Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization

Requirements

Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager/ Assistant Manager in the trading/furniture sector.
Minimum 3 years of experience working in a warehouse environment
Familiar with warehouse inventory/storage system
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
Strong decision-making and excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills & ability to work with all levels of staff.
