Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Finance Manager to support the CFO in overseeing the financial operations of the company and its group of entities. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in financial reporting, group consolidation, compliance, and internal controls. This role involves supervising the finance team, reviewing financial reports, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. A strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Consolidation Review monthly and quarterly financial reports prepared by entity finance teams to ensure accuracy and compliance. Prepare group-level financial consolidation, including intercompany eliminations and necessary adjustments. Prepare and continuously improve the Monthly Management Report (MMR) with relevant, insightful data to support strategic decision-making. Assist in the preparation of board papers, investor materials, and other financial deliverables for senior management. Ensure timely and accurate submission of quarterly financial reports for Bursa Malaysia and other statutory requirements. Team Leadership & Review Lead and supervise the finance team to ensure timely and accurate preparation of full set accounts for all entities. Provide guidance and mentorship to entity-level finance staff, ensuring compliance with group accounting policies and procedures. Review and verify payment transactions uploaded by entity finance personnel before final approval by the CFO. Compliance & Audit Ensure company-wide adherence to Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), tax regulations, and Bursa Malaysia listing requirements. Act as a liaison with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretary, coordinating with respective entity PICs. Support audit readiness by reviewing schedules, documentation, and audit findings for timely resolution. Financial Analysis & Performance Review Analyze financial performance across subsidiaries, identify variances and trends, and recommend improvement strategies. Highlight key financial insights and risk areas to the CFO and management team. Collaborate with operations and business units to support budget control and forecasting processes. Process Improvement & Internal Control Identify areas for improvement in accounting processes and systems; drive efficiency and accuracy in financial operations. Support finance-related system implementations and upgrades as required. Assist in the development and enforcement of internal controls and company policies. Other Duties Handle ad hoc assignments and special projects as delegated by the CFO. Ensure alignment of finance practices across the group with corporate objectives. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are highly preferred. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Strong knowledge of group consolidation, financial reporting standards (MFRS/IFRS), and statutory compliance. Experience in liaising with auditors, tax authorities, and regulators. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems; familiarity with SQL-based software is an advantage. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders. High level of integrity and attention to detail. Preferred Skills Experience in a digital media or advertising industry is a plus. Solid understanding of tax regulations in both Malaysia and Singapore. Familiarity with Bursa Malaysia reporting requirements and experience supporting public listed company compliance is a strong advantage. Experience in a group of companies or multi-entity environment, preferably in the digital media, advertising, or technology industry.
